Resource Center

The Jubilee Center offers many services to help patrons get back on their feet. Free phone, fax, and internet access is used by patrons as they search for work and housing. Donated clothing, household goods, toiletries, and Goodwill vouchers are available. Many homeless patrons use the Jubilee Center as their mailing address. Outreach workers from partner agencies, such as New Beginnings, Catholic Charities, and Preble Street, regularly visit the Center.

The Center hosts workshops and information sessions with partners including Pine Tree Legal, Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project, and the Maine Equal Justice Partners. The Holiday Wishlist project works with managers at area companies to identify employees in need of help and matches their children’s wishlists with donors. Large holiday meals are held at the Center on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve. Community groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Lewiston High sports teams, use the facility after hours for meetings and dinners. Staff are available daily for conversation, referrals, and support.

Upcoming workshops:

August 7-8, 12-3: Better Kid Care Health and Safety Basics. Six-hour training for childcare providers, led by the DHHS Child Care Subsidy Program.
