Refugee Integration Program

Building New Lives

Trinity’s Refugee Integration Program is one of the largest immigrant integration programs in Androscoggin County. Refugees and asylum-seekers from Somalia, Djibouti, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and other countries ask for help as they build a new life for their families.

The most common request is for help with writing a resume, searching for job openings, and completing applications. Other work includes assistance completing housing applications and addressing housing concerns, petitioning for adjustments to immigration status, and completing FAFSA and college applications. Services are available in English, Somali, and French and there is no enrollment process.

Covid-19 operations: Only people utilizing the Day Shelter may enter the building and appointments for paperwork help are done by phone. Please call the office at 782-5700 if you need an appointment.
